Tanners Mobile Tyres is a brand-new business built on an old set of skills. Tanner, the owner, is a qualified motor mechanic with close to 20 years' hands-on experience in the trade — most of it spent working on the exact problem mobile tyre customers call about: getting a vehicle back on the road properly, without the runaround.

It's deliberately a single owner-operator business. There's no call centre routing your enquiry to whoever's rostered on, and no apprentice learning on your car. When you call, you're speaking directly to Tanner — the same person who'll turn up, assess the job, and fit the tyre.

That setup has trade-offs. It means the business can only take on what one van and one technician can genuinely handle well, rather than scaling up with less experienced staff. In exchange, you get a tradesperson who has seen a given problem before, is accountable for the result, and has a direct incentive to do the job right the first time.

Tanners Mobile Tyres currently covers 20 suburbs across Sydney — from Oatley, the home base, out through the inner west, the Parramatta corridor, South West Sydney and the Macarthur region. The service area is expanding gradually as the business grows, always with the same standard: one qualified mechanic, on-site, 24 hours a day.
